GAETI 2018
MONDAY
I truly enjoyed this day! It is so wonderful to see several of the GAETI people from last year, as well as Dr. Bracey and Mrs. Angela Latham. We had a great speaker duo, the Funchess's , a husband and wife team, who spoke on the necessity of incorporating music into the classroom. These people have a passion for the use of music to reach all students at all levels. We then got to work on our art project, a clay tile project. Can't wait to see how it turns out! This afternoon we had Mr. Reggie Ware from Alabama, who spoke on his practical experience in different types of schools in the area around Birmingham. He is a wonderful speaker, a person who relates to his audience in his down-to-earth manner. He spoke about the use of the social contract to affect great change within a classroom or school. I am working with Lashonda and Flo on our final project. Our song is "Stir Fry." I will have to check this out tonight and get a copy of the lyrics/watch the video. Hope I don't have to sing!!!
